Adolfo joined SDL as CEO in April 2016. Prior to joining SDL, Adolfo was CEO of Acision, the mobile messaging market leader he helped turn around prior to its merger to Comverse to form Xura, Inc. Before that, he spent four years at Alcatel-Lucent, with his most recent position being Executive Vice President, Global Software Services and Solutions, where he was a member of the Executive Committee, reporting to the Group CEO. In this role, he was responsible for all of Alcatel-Lucent’s multi-billion dollar software application solutions and services business globally. This included professional, support, operations, managed services and consulting businesses. In addition, he headed the Strategic Industry business providing advanced solutions to some of the biggest Enterprises across verticals such as utilities, transportation and government.
Adolfo also has a wealth of experience in Enterprise software and services built over the years in senior management roles at Sun Microsystems, Inc, where he was responsible for all aspects of its services business around the world and IBM Corp where he spent nine years (in London and Munich) in a variety of sales leadership and general management positions in the areas of eBusiness and Open Systems.
Dominic Lavelle is a qualified Chartered Accountant who joined SDL in November 2013. Previously,Dominic has held senior executive and CFO roles within a number of private and publicly traded companies including Mothercare plc, Oasis plc, Allders plc and Alfred McAlpine plc, where his roles have encompassed commercial, operational and strategic responsibilities. He has more than 25 years senior financial experience and is responsible for all financial matters.
Peggy Chen has global responsibility for all aspects of marketing at SDL, including strategy, branding, messaging, product marketing, content marketing, demand generation, field marketing and communications. She brings with her over 16 years of experience in the software industry, leading product management and product marketing teams and marketing organizations. Prior to SDL, Peggy led marketing for Oracle’s WebCenter and BPM solutions and Embedded solutions. She also drove product strategy for Oracle’s RFID and Sensor solutions and was responsible for product management and partnerships for Oracle’s mobile platform. Peggy holds a bachelors and masters in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Jean-Pierre (JP) Dekker is EVP of Strategy at SDL. He is responsible for all mergers and acquisition activity, as well as defining and implementing key strategic initiatives for the company. Prior to joining SDL JP served as Director of the Portfolio Management Team at HgCapital. He also worked at GE, where he was responsible for developing and implementing strategic growth projects across a range of businesses, and Morgan Stanley in their investment banking division. Mr. Dekker holds an M.B.A. degree from INSEAD and a degree in finance from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.
Betsy Fallon is EVP Global Client & Acting Professional Services, overseeing technical support, professional services, training and customer enablement programs. The organization is responsible for the delivery of services and initiatives that increase customer retention, satisfaction and loyalty across all of SDL’s product lines. Betsy has over 20 years of experience in leadership roles in marketing, customer relationship management and support delivery. Prior to joining SDL, she held different marketing and customer engagement roles at Idiom Technologies, Context Media, MSI and the University of Miami. Under Betsy’s leadership, SDL Global Client Services is focused on expanding the role of support and professional services to include high-value, proactive, and collaborative customer engagement.
As Chief Revenue Officer, Allan is responsible for SDL's Language Services and Global Content Technologies. Since joining SDL in 1998 as an engineering manager, he progressed through to project management, operations management and business management and has shaped many of SDL’s largest language service divisions and technology leaders. Today, Allan continues to build on the strengths of our team expertise and product knowledge through sound strategic direction and leadership.
Peter-Paul has over 15 years’ experience in the software development industry. Prior to joining SDL, he held technical consultancy and business consultancy roles for a variety of customers in both the private and the public sector.
Thomas Labarthe joined SDL as EVP Business Development in July 2016 and is responsible for creating and executing strategies to accelerate business growth, incubating innovative projects across the product portfolio and delivering new revenue for SDL. Thomas has extensive experience in Software, and has held several leadership positions ranging from Sales to General Management at Alcatel-Lucent and Lookout. Throughout his career, he has lived and worked in five countries and is fluent in English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese. His deep understanding of cultural nuances enabled him to build an extensive network of the most influential Tech leaders across the US, Europe and Latin America.
Azad Ootam joined SDL in June 2016 as Chief Transformation Officer. Azad is responsible for optimizing SDL’s language-centric strategy, ensuring it has the business systems and intelligence needed to make quality decisions.
Prior to SDL, Azad served Royal Mail Group as Head of Business Operations, where he was responsible for overseeing the company’s Technology Group redesign and transformation prior to its privatization as well as managing Technology’s commercial strategy. Leading strategic direction at Board level, Azad is highly experienced in working for large, complex organizations focussing on extensive transformational engagements.
Roddy Temperley comes with a wealth of experience having led global Human Resource teams, most recently at Credit Suisse. Prior to that Roddy spent a number of years at SAP, PeopleSoft, Peregrine and Unisys. Roddy‘s expertise in human resource management in progressive high tech businesses will help SDL to continue to grow and build skills and structure in the cutting edge and fast moving market of global customer experience management.
Silke Zschweigert is Chief Delivery Officer, globally responsible for ensuring efficient execution of all language services at continued high levels of customer satisfaction. She joined SDL in 1999 as a Project Manager and has since gathered a wealth of experience on all areas of the business, last as EVP Sales & Operations EMEA. As Chief Delivery Officer Silke now oversees more than 2,400 staff in over 38 countries covering our global project management teams, language offices, technical services delivery centres and the Language Process Consulting team. Under Silke’s leadership the function is focused on strengthening our Life Sciences and Marketing Solutions Offerings and to ensure that we continue to delight our customers.
