Flexible deployment options

The modular SDL WorldServer architecture provides a robust and scalable translation management solution suitable for an on-premise, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) or hosted deployment to suit the financial and business needs of each organization. Enterprises have the flexibility to get started quickly with a SaaS deployment and transition to a hosted or on-premise configuration as requirements change over time.

Centralized linguistic technology

SDL WorldServer centralizes linguistic technology in a robust, scalable server architecture. A centralized, hierarchical translation memory (TM) combined with centralized terminology significantly lowers costs and improves translation quality. This is achieved by simplifying multilingual content reuse across globally dispersed contributors including authors, translators, in-house reviewers and Language Service Providers (LSPs).

Content integration

Ease of adoption is a significant advantages of this solution. An extensive set of Content Connectors and a flexible Asset Integration System provide advanced connectivity to many content systems. By using standard web services, this enables fast, remote and even automatic, access to content in any format, no matter where it’s stored, including both SaaS and on-premise deployments.

Powerful process automation

Core to SDL WorldServer is a rules-based process automation engine that drives all collaboration and project management activities. Localization managers can easily create business rules and workflows to automate business processes and improve collaboration by routing comments, announcements and notifications of project related issues with the content as it moves through the localization supply chain.
SDL WorldServer Scoping

Business management

SDL WorldServer offers centralized business management capabilities to reduce the cost and complexity of gathering and evaluating data and reporting results. Tight alignment with SDL Trados Studio means that every member in the localization supply chain agrees on translation word counts and the associated costs. Estimation and tracking provide project quotes based on word counts, overhead and human resource costs.
