Digital Experience Platforms: Buyer Trends, Preferences and Strategies

In this research, DCG surveyed and conducted interviews with 300 business and IT leaders to gain insight into real-world purchase strategies. Key findings include: 

  • Most buyers are skeptical of single-vendor digital experience (DX) suite approaches. 
  • Almost 70% of buyers prefer DXPs with best-of-breed components. 
  • A single vendor cannot realistically provide all DX solutions at the level of quality and support that today's DX leaders demand. 

Since the delivery of a digital experience requires a diversity of business applications, integrations between best-of-breed point solutions are crucial.
