Roddy joined SDL in 2013 to lead the newly created global Human Resources function. 

After building a strong and capable HR team and creating good HR foundations across the company, Roddy and his team developed our People Strategy that supports and informs our Business Strategy. Our People Strategy comprises five Pillars: Leadership, Employee Growth, Recognition, Alignment, and Employee Experience. By consistently delivering against these Pillars, SDL strives to be recognized as the employer of choice in our industry. 

Roddy, working with the rest of the executive team also leads our Sustainability approach, with particular emphasis on Diversity and Inclusion, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Culture. 

Prior to joining SDL Roddy held senior HR Leadership roles in Credit Suisse, SAP, Peoplesoft, Unisys, and Xerox. 

Roddy holds a Master of Arts (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Dundee and enjoys horse riding, skiing, and supporting Scottish Rugby.
