About the Program
SDL’s OpenExchange is where the Studio user family and the SDL Development Community meet to exchange their ideas, expertise, imagination and creativity to the benefit of both groups.
SDL users are language professionals of the highest caliber. Their experience is invaluable and it is to them we turn first when researching additional features and functionality to further enrich the Studio 2009 user experience, in the product development process.
With SDL OpenExchange we are further extending this invitation to SDL users. By sharing their needs and thoughts, users provide a fertile source of ideas for our Developer Community to mine in their search for new projects to which they can dedicate their creativity and thereby reach out to our 180,000 users.
To support developers’ efforts, SDL offers every resource needed to smoothly turn out quality applications which – critically - are proven to be in demand from our users. Following approval, they are listed on the SDL OpenExchange website – THE place to promote such applications worldwide.
By offering a range of plug-ins and associated applications that will extend and augment the product feature set, we aim to see our users achieve a yet greater return on their SDL investment in the market leading SDL Trados Studio, while offering developers a stage to showcase themselves before the industry’s largest translation professional community.
