SubRip is the name of the subtitle file format created by the SubRip tool. SubRip files have the file name extension *.srt. This format is supported by most software video players and subtitle creation applications.
A SubRip file is divided into sections; each section has an ID, a start and an end time (used for specifying when the subtitle should be displayed) and the section text:
The SubRip file type filter provides functionality for extracting the section text for localization and supports standard inline formatting and automatically handles line breaks in the text.

This tool needs to have SDL Trados Studio 2009 SP2 installed. Earlier versions of SDL Trados Studio 2009 cannot be used.
