In addition to traditional publishing and repro, SDL helps you
localize content designed for single source, multi-channel publishing.

Many localization projects handled by SDL contain documentation components, in either electronic or paper-based format. We support all the software tools required to produce the various forms of documentation on Windows, Mac or Unix platforms, and all language groups including Western European, Nordic, Baltic, Central and Eastern European, Cyrillic, Asian (Double Byte) and Middle Eastern (Bidirectional).

In addition to providing formatting services for traditional publishing and repro, SDL has the skills and experience to localize content designed for single source multi-channel publishing, whether created through “structured” versions of mainstream desktop publishing (DTP) applications or specialized authoring environments for SGML/HTML/XML with PDF deliverables.

Global infrastructure, low-cost resources

With over 150 in-house DTP staff located in 30 global locations and with a network of tried and tested freelancers as back-up, SDL has the technical ability, quality systems and scalability to deal with the full spectrum of projects ranging from single page data sheets up to the largest of multilingual projects.

Split between small analytical teams based in our multilingual client-centric divisions and large teams at our 3 major network office production centres in China, Poland and Spain, we are able to take advantage of relatively low costs whilst maintaining well-qualified teams. This guarantees a low price/high quality product. In addition to the main production centres, SDL also has smaller language-specific production centres in Lebanon, Japan and Thailand.
