SDL International, the world’s leading provider of translation services and technology solutions, announced today significant new contracts for the SDL Translation Management System, demonstrating growing market momentum and endorsing SDL’s integrated approach to providing global information management solutions.

Global hotel group Le Méridien has recently selected the SDL Translation Management System to manage the localization of its hotel websites into Chinese, to be followed by other languages once Chinese is complete. All Asian hotels and selected properties worldwide will have their websites localized into Chinese for the first time.

“We needed a scalable translation management system to automate the processes involved in the initial translation into Chinese,” said Andrew Pozniak, Director E-Commerce Worldwide for Le Méridien. “The SDL Translation Management System met our business requirements and is a proven solution in our industry. We are confident it will improve our time-to-market for localized content and has the scalability to handle our future growth in content and languages.”

SDL also recently signed an outsourcing agreement with Texas Instruments (TI) for translation services that includes the SDL Translation Management System.  These agreements and recent successes at Computer Associates, Mercury Interactive, Sony Europe and Tweddle Litho add to the momentum that the SDL Translation Management System is achieving across many sectors of the market.

“The SDL Translation Management System enforces quality criteria while significantly reducing time-to-market for global information, enabling organizations to communicate consistently, generate revenues more quickly and improve customer satisfaction in global markets,” said Cristina Lancaster, Chief Operations Officer at SDL International. “By combining SDL’s innovative technology with an extensive global services infrastructure, SDL is helping its customers meet demand in delivering better, more comprehensive information.”
