SDL plc WINS MICROSOFT CONTRACT

SDL plc ("SDL International"), the globalization products and solutions company, today announced the signing of a multi million dollar contract with Microsoft Inc. ("Microsoft"), the world's leading business and personal software company, for the globalization of a number of its leading games software titles. The contract is the culmination of a 2 year working relationship between SDL International and Microsoft.

 SDL International was selected as one Microsofts' preferred globalization partners because of its core skills as both a leading globalization product and services company, and having the required expertise in the rapidly expanding field of online and entertainment software. The contract, which will involve the localization of Microsoft's online and games software titles into multiple languages, will run at least until September 2001.
