The position involves the accurate analysis of language content and development of effective project methodologies in order to ensure successful translations. Based on your thorough knowledge of translation processes and workflows, you will focus on enhancing efficiency and quality at the source, enabling translation teams to deliver high quality work in the most productive manner.
Responsibilities include:
- Linguistic and technical analysis of source content to identify project aspects key to improving internal processes and achieving successful results
- Understanding and positively influencing the key factors that determine the commercial success of localization projects in SDL
- Providing linguistic support to our Project Management team
- Creating, maintaining and managing project-specific terminology
- Developing methodologies for translators based on your expertise with translation tools
- Ensuring the proper methodology is communicated clearly to the SDL translation teams (via instructions and training)
- Interacting with clients as a "linguistic expert"
For your office Qualifications:
- 3 years minimum experience in the translation/localization market
- Experience working on large and demanding projects
- High level of knowledge of translation technology and tools
- Thorough understanding of localization processes and workflows, especially associated with translation memory and terminology management
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Advanced communication skills (internal and client-facing)
