SDL, the leading provider of Global Information Management solutions, today announced that DVV, the Belgian Insurance company has launched its new websites www.dvv.be and www.lap.be on the Web Content Management (WCM) platform SDL Tridion®.

At the end of November 2009 DVV started a selection process to replace their existing Content Management System (CMS) infrastructure that was no longer equipped to support the rapidly changing needs of the business. DVV needed a new CMS platform to maintain high standards of support and information for retail, business and not-for-profit organizations.

DVV selected SDL Tridion, the leading WCM system as positioned by Gartner and Forrester to enhance its website’s functionality. The highly scalable platform has been selected for its ease-of-use, empowering the site owners to adapt content quickly, without needing to invest time in the site’s layout and design. Working closely with consultancy partner Sopra, who was responsible for the technical implementation, the websites www.dvv.be and www.lap.be were launched in May 2010.

Luc Rasschaert, Member of the DVV Board, explains; “Our old site was no longer able to keep up with the fast-changing pace of the insurance market. The business clearly demanded a more e-marketing focused strategy that our in-house-developed technology could no longer support. The new SDL Tridion platform is part of our long-term plan, as an internet-as-a-service component of the business. The modular aspects, such as the possibility of adding an enhanced e-marketing capability, launching a newsletter and generating sites quickly meet our new development needs.”

DVV was founded in 1929 and over the last 80 years has established itself as a solid pillar within the Belgian insurance market. For DVV a client-oriented service has always been a key differentiator. Providing relevant and up-to-date information to the various stakeholders at all times and capturing and developing leads for the distribution network are the main objectives of the new website.

“Any business today is challenged with rapidly changing market demands. Providing information and services to different stakeholders will result in finding a host of different complexities arising from both a content management and e-marketing point of view,” said Jan Jaap Kolleman CEO of SDL’s Web Content Management Solutions division. “DVV chose SDL Tridion because of its intuitive, flexible nature allowing users to make quick changes and add functionality to websites, to meet ever-changing business demands.”
