SDL delivers 'On-Demand' Translation Solution for PeopleSoft.com

SDL International (London Stock Exchange: 'SDL'), the world's leading provider of multilingual service and software solutions, announced today that PeopleSoft, Inc., the world's second largest enterprise applications software company, has successfully implemented an 'on-demand' globalization solution from SDL for its Web content worldwide.

 
PeopleSoft's 24 local country Web Sites required a cost-effective globalization solution to support the company's rapid global market expansion. Time to market, scalability and consistent branding across all its international Web Sites drove PeopleSoft's solution selection. SDL's industry-leading GMS product, SDLWorkFlow, is at the heart of the solution, delivering centrally controlled and globally distributed content into 12 languages 'on-demand'.

Keith Mills, CTO of SDL International reported, "PeopleSoft have intelligently applied the full extent of SDL offerings to create a complete end-to-end globalization solution that is both scalable and adaptable. This solution will reduce the long-term costs associated with supporting the major global resources required for the creation of global Web marketing content."

Savitha Varadan, Global Web Content Manager for PeopleSoft, noted that the real test of any solution rests in the reliability and quality of the final delivered content. Varadan noted that the end quality of SDL's translations was "excellent" and continued that PeopleSoft's local Web Site users "often didn't realize that they were reading translated content; they assumed it was content originally written in their language."
