In-house Translators English (German) to Dutch - Automotive/Mechanical Engineering
SDL International, one of the leading localisation and Global Information Management companies with offices throughout the world, is currently looking for Automotive/Mechanical Engineering Translators to join its fast growing in-house localization team in Hengelo
The role involves translation and review of Automotive/Mechanical documentation from English/(German) into Dutch (covering various contents from diagnosis and repair manuals, technical bulletins, automotive equipment to marketing brochures), and to mid-long term, the coordination of Automotive projects in order to ensure high quality translation according to schedules and budgets. For this challenging role, SDL is looking for motivated and committed linguists, eager to actively contribute to the Dutch office expansion.
Skills & Experience:
• Extremely high level of fluency in the target language.
• Educated to degree level with a qualification in Translation.
• Fluency in English compulsory.
• 6 months to 4 years experience specialized in specialized in Automotive/Mechanical translation.
• Detail-oriented and quality-focused.
• Organized, able to work in a professional environment and with excellent communication skills.
• Flexible and able to work under pressure/tight deadlines.
• PC literate with excellent MS Office experience • A first experience with Translation Memory tools (such as SDLX/Trados) would be a plus.
