In-house Trainee Dutch Translators – developing towards specialised Translator
SDL International, one of the leading localisation and Global Information Management companies with offices throughout the world, is currently looking for Translators that are looking to start their career in a professional way, to join its fast growing in-house localization team in Hengelo
The role involves translation of all kinds of content from English (German) into Dutch, covering various subject matters related to
• IT
• Medical • Finance
• Marketing
• Automotive
• Mechanical
To the mid-long term, the role will be extended to the coordination of such projects in order to ensure high quality translation according to schedules and budgets, and to review translations as well. Our experienced team of 40 Dutch Translators, all in-house, allow you to become a professional translator. Internship candidates are welcomed as well. Suitable candidates have almost finalized their translation education. Upon proven performance during an internship, SDL may offer a job as Trainee Dutch Translator.
For this challenging role, SDL is looking for motivated and committed linguists, eager to develop their professional skills and to support the Dutch office performance as well.
Skills & Experience:
• High level of fluency in the target language.
• Finalizing education to degree level with a qualification in Translation.
• Fluency in English compulsory.
• Interested in translation/localisation of documentation and software.
• Detail-oriented and quality-focused.
• Organized, able to work in a professional environment and with excellent communication skills.
• Flexible and able to work under pressure/tight deadlines.
• PC literate with excellent MS Office experience
• A first experience with Translation Memory tools (such as SDLX/Trados) would be a plus.
