Computational Linguists - Dutch

The position involves machine translation dictionary creation, post-editing and review of draft machine translations as well as effective management of freelance translators/post-editors to ensure high quality translation services are provided to SDL’s clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting linguistic standards and quality assurance.

• You must have, as a pre-requisite, a very high level of fluency in the target language, together with a degree in translation or languages.
• Any specialization in any field of technical translation or familiarity with translation tools would be an advantage.
• You will have an excellent command of the English language and be detail-orientated and quality-focused.
• The position requires you to understand the client’s requirements and being able to communicate these to the team, therefore we require well-organised problem solvers with strong communication skills at all levels.

To be considered

• You must have previous qualifications or experience of working in a Linguistic/Translation role.
• You must be PC literate, have excellent MS Office skills and have a keen interest in IT.
• Any experience of localisation would be advantageous.
