English to German Translators - Munich
SDL International is one of the world's leading providers of translation and localization services to the IT, multimedia and automotive industries. We are currently looking for English-to-German Translators to join our growing in-house team in Munich, Germany, on a permanent basis.
The role involves translation and review of documentation, help, software and Web sites, from English into German, covering a wide range of subject matter: IT, Life Sciences, Consumer Electronics, Engineering/Automotive, Marketing, Finance and Law.For this challenging role, SDL is looking for motivated and committed linguists, eager to actively contribute to our office expansion.
Skills & Experience:
- Native (or genuine bi-lingual) competency in the target language of German
- Educated to degree level with a qualification in Translation or have a very strong linguistic background
- Very high level of fluency in English (preferred over knowledge of several source languages)
- 6 months to 4 years experience in IT translation/localization (more senior candidates preferred)
- Highly organized, flexible and able to work successfully in a very fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills Detail-orientated and quality-focused
- Experience with Translation Memory tools (SDLX/Trados) would be an advantage
