SDL to Provide Translation Solutions to Continental Airlines

SDL enables Continental to accelerate time-to-market and reduce costs for multilingual content

SDL plc, the leading provider of Global Information Management (GIM) solutions, today announced a partnership with Continental Airlines as their premier localization solutions provider.  Continental selected SDL based on their global scale, superior localization services and SDL’s ability to deliver automated translation solutions.  SDL will translate Continental’s web content, including highly sensitive information on travel safety into five languages.

To accelerate time-to-market and reduce translation costs, Continental is expanding their GIM footprint, combining their existing use of SDL WorldServer™ for process automation with SDL Knowledge-based Translation System® (SDL KbTS™) and localization services for all required languages.  SDL KbTS, a blend of sophisticated automated translation technology combined with the skills of a global workforce of post editors, is revolutionizing Continental’s global content delivery, allowing them to achieve their quality and time objectives at a dramatically lower cost.   SDL’s localization service solutions will allow Continental to achieve up to 30 percent cost savings and create a 40 percent reduction in turnaround time for translated content.
