Web Content Management leader reports 22 percent increase in annual revenue for its web solutions

09 March 2010

SDL, the leading provider of Global Information Management solutions is pleased to announce a 22 percent increase in global revenue during the 2009 financial year for its Web Content Management Solutions division, the leader in Web Content Management (WCM). The solid results come during the largest global economic downturn in recent history and highlight an increased emphasis on global web marketing among Fortune 500 companies and SDL Tridion’s proven ability to help customers build and manage their brands online.

For SDL’s Web Content Management Solutions division, 2009 was punctuated by a series of key announcements:

·        In June, SDL Web Content Management Solutions releasedSDL Tridion 2009– a WCM platform that provides users with a single interface to deploy global marketing campaigns. The new software removes manual processes associated with coordinating multi-channel campaigns in multiple languages. Its taxonomy and content classification categorizes web content through a tagging system, engaging visitors to view personalized, relevant content through intuitive navigation.

·        The company released a new tool for site compliance and governance calledSafeguard in September.SiteEdit™, an internal content manager that allows easier usage by subject matter experts, arrived in October andWebForms™– a platform to quickly create online forms and extend interaction with visitors – followed in November to cap off a year of new product offerings and innovation.

·        Major industry honors from U.S. analysts and media included a June 2009 report entitled: “The Forrester Wave: Web Content Management For External Sites, Q2, 2009,” where SDL Tridion was named as a leader in Web Content Management  for external sites. This honor was followed in August with Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Web Content Management, where SDL Tridion was positioned as leader in its space. In September, KMWorld, a major U.S. technology trade publication, named SDL Tridion as a trend-setting product.

“2009 was a landmark year for financial success, product releases and industry acknowledgement  for  SDL’s Web Content Management Solutions Division,” says Jan Jaap Kolleman, CEO of SDL’s Web Content Management Solutions division. “For a company that has been a leader for multiple years, 22 percent revenue growth is a tremendous accomplishment in a single year. Our growth results from an unwavering emphasis on providing the very best WCM for enterprise class corporations, which in turn offer their users an ideal web experience across multiple channels.”
