Martinair's new Web site is now live on SDL Tridion's content management system (CMS).
The new e-commerce Web sites are live for the Dutch, German, English, Surinam, Austrian, Swiss, Belgian and Canadian markets served by Martinair. More languages within these sites will follow later this month.
Martinair has selected SDL Tridion's CMS to guarantee a solid and efficient product on both front and back-end. The information on the Web sites can be managed from the same SDL Tridion system from every location.
Senior Vice President Passenger Business, Harm Winkeler, wants to sell more tickets via the direct channels: “A successful e-commerce strategy starts with a robust platform. A solid content management system that can grow in line with our future ambitions forms the basis of this. With the new Web site and Internet booking engine we took a first big step in improving the e-Commerce channel of Martinair e-commerce.”
The new Web sites of Martinair reflect a holiday feeling and guide the visitor quickly and efficiently through the bookings process. On the back-site efficient management is key. In the past the management of the Martinair sites was executed by almost 30 different Web editors. Now a team of four to five people is all it takes to maintain all Web sites.
