Tridion today launched the first archiving tool specifically designed for Web sites. Web sites have become strategic business communication tools for many organizations. To meet their regulatory compliance, liability and quality control needs organizations need to archive them.

Although many organizations recognize the ever increasing compliance and liability requirements and understand the informative and historical value of Web sites, most organizations have failed to implement appropriate archiving until now. Erik Aeyelts Averink, President Products & Solutions at Tridion: “It is a surprising paradox: almost every company today acknowledges their Web sites are a valuable and integral part of their communication strategy, but hardly any organization properly archives their Web sites. With Tridion Archive Manager organizations are finally able to deal with Web site archiving in a professional and cost effective manner.”

Electronic archiving is not new, but the archiving of Web sites introduces many new specific requirements.A number of vendors currently offer solutions that unsuccessfully try to fulfill these requirements with traditional archiving methods and tools. Tridion’s Archive Manager is the first product specifically developed to archive Web sites exactly as they appeared to visitors at any specific moment in time.
