Our upgrading guidelines are changing for versions older than three years

We have extended the availability to upgrade from these older versions until Thursday 1st May 2008

SDL TRADOS Technologies would like to thank our customers who have already upgraded to SDL Trados 2007 and are enjoying the new features within the latest release of the market-leading software tool.

For customers who are yet to upgrade and are on versions older than 3 years - including and prior to Trados 6.5 or SDLX 2004 - we would like to make you aware that our upgrade guidelines will be changing from Thursday 1st May, 2008.

This does not apply to customers on newer versions (SDL Trados 2007, SDL Trados 2006, Trados 7, SDLX 2005)

Who does this apply to?
If you are on versions Trados v6.5 or previous or SDLX 2004 and previous, we recommend you upgrade to SDL Trados 2007 now in order to retain discounted upgrade pricing for the software. From the 1st of May 2008 onwards, there will no longer be upgrade eligibility from these versions.

How do I find out what my version number is?
In Trados, go to Translator's Workbench->Help>About->You will find your version number
In SDLX, go to Help->About->You will find your version number 
 
What if I want to stay on my existing version? 
If you decide you do not want to upgrade, you do not have to. If you decide to upgrade after the 1st of May 2008 you will have to purchase a new version.
