The SDL Partner Program includes many Technology Partners who provide solutions that are marketed and sold in collaboration with SDL. Technology Partners, along with SDL, utilize Global Information Management (GIM) processes to deliver a complete realm of solutions within the global content supply chain. Technology Partner offerings range from small, niche solutions to multiple products in different categories.
The chart below illustrates the key areas of techology partner value:

SDL collaborates with authoring vendors who provide software and tools for development of content and documentation for corporate communication, marketing, product information, and customer service. We also work with publishing software vendors that take the content created by authoring tools and convert it into different publishing formats, whether it's web pages, hardcopy documentation, online help, or PDA information.
SDL collaborates with Content Management System (CMS) vendors who accept text and other content from authoring tools, organize and manage this information, and provide workflow for interaction with other applications. CMS applications are typically directed at either web content like websites or online help – WCMS – or hardcopy documentation like user manuals or regulatory documentation – DCMS. CMS workflow is often used to submit and retrieve content for translation and localization, and either publish and submit information to publishing systems.
SDL collaborates with partners that provide technology and solutions in localization and translation that add value to SDL offerings. This includes technology that:
Provides connectivity between translation management and content management;
Internationalizes products to ensure technologies and designs that support different languages;
Translates and localizes the visual appearance of software products, such as user interface, dialog boxes, etc.
