Releasing new software simultaneously into multiple markets is a challenge faced by many organizations. Many processes need to be considered to ensure that tight software release deadlines are met. One of the key activities required to develop software for global markets is localization.
SDL Passolo 2011 is a specialized software localization tool that greatly speeds up the translation of user interfaces. SDL Passolo greatly optimizes both manual and automated localization workflows, either as a stand-alone application, or when integrated with other SDL products such as SDL Trados Studio and SDL MultiTerm.

Achim Herrmann from SDL examines the software industry’s drive to simultaneous shipment of localized versions of software, looks at tools and techniques to help achieve sim ship, and provides insights into how corporations and LSP’s need to work together to ensure success.
Session 5: Passolo within the SDL solutions portfolio
Software contains a lot of linguistic assets which must be handled consistently across products and other document types like manuals. SDL Passolo provides interfaces to other CAT systems ensuring transparent, timely and consistent translations. This session introduces the interfaces to other solutions of the SDL portfolio.
Session 6: SDL Passolo - Tips & Tricks
The SDL Passolo team from SDL shares tips and tricks for getting the most out of the new SDL Passolo 2011 software, including pseudo localization, cascading localization projects, .NET support, mobile apps and embedded software.
