10 key reasons to upgrade!

SDL Trados Studio 2009 bought users a host of innovative features to help them translate more efficiently.  Below you will find a selection of great reasons to upgrade to SDL Trados Studio 2011. 1. New! PerfectMatch 2.0
   Save even more valuable time with PerfectMatch 2.0. Using the bilingual file from a previously translated project, Studio applies PerfectMatch technology to automatically populate the target segment with approved translations. The translator and the reviewer can then ignore this sentence happy that it has already been approved.
   
2. New! Track Changes
   Working the same way as Microsoft Word, its now easy to keep track of changes made, who has made them and then accept or reject them as necessary
   
3. New! MS Word Spell Check
   Spell checking functionality is now enhanced with the introduction of MS Word spell checker to deliver better and more consistent spelling in even more languages, giving you more confidence in your translations
4. New! Display Filters
   Discover how you can speed up your review and sign-off processes with enhanced display filters that make review even easier
5. New! Enhanced QA checker
   The QA process has now been improved. A new wizard guides you through the review process highlighting all error messages in sequence without the need to click on each message
6. New! Review Outside Studio 2011
   You can now send translated files to subject matter experts for review in MS Word. The files can then be imported back into Studio 2011 with all changes and comments highlighted. Now everyone can review!
7. New! File Filters
   We continuously add new file filters meaning that you never have to turn away a project again because of file incompatibility
8. New! Bilingual Word Filter
   Now you can open legacy Trados bilingual Word documents in Studio allowing you to leverage even more assets
9. New! Pseudo-Translation
   This new feature helps you to quickly produce localized files to test for potential problems or faults in your project files
10. And not forgetting all the existing features that make SDL Trados Studio so good!
    AutoSuggest™, Quickplace™, Context Match™, Real time preview and QA checkers are still included so that you can complete your translation projects quicker than ever.

Important information for SDL Trados 2006 users

SDL would like to thank all customers who have upgraded to SDL Trados Studio and are enjoying the time-saving features. To enable us to continue providing superior technical assistance, we will cease to support and provide upgrade pricing for SDL Trados 2006 on 31st December 2011. This will allow us to focus on the latest versions of our software used by the majority of our customers.

Customers on newer versions (SDL Trados 2007 Suite, SDL Trados 2007 and SDL Trados Studio 2009) will not be affected by these changes.

Everybody who upgrades to SDL Trados Studio 2011 will also receive a permanent license of SDL Trados 2007 Suite. Both products can be installed in parallel.

How to upgrade

Upgrading to SDL Trados Studio 2011 is simple.

Where do I go to upgrade?
Visit the upgrade page in the SDL shop and make the correct selection taking care to choose the product you are upgrading from and the product you'd like to upgrade to.

How do I make a purchase?
Once you have made a selection click on the buy now button and select any training or other products that you may wish to buy then proceed to check out. If you are a returning customer you’ll be asked for your email address and password to login to your account, (new customers will be asked to create a new account). Once this has been done you will be asked if you wish to place your order and what method of payment you wish to use. When you have paid for your software you will be taken to a page where all the information will be displayed on how to download and activate your license.
