SDL has an alliance with Alchemy and a technical product integration that has been tested and approved by SDL. As the processes for visual software localization and the localization of documents and web content continue to merge, more customers are requesting the ability to leverage translations from visual software localization and use them in their technical documents, marketing materials, and other product content.

Alchemy Software Development, with their CATALYST product line, is a world leader in visual software localization - the translation of the visual screens in software applications. Headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, Alchemy has an installed base of over 11,000 licenses.

In late 2004, Alchemy and SDL announced a product integration, the Alchemy TRADOS Component, that bridges the gap between localizing visual content in software and localizing content in product documents and other materials. Alchemy sells and maintains the Alchemy TRADOS Component.
