Language Connect was founded in 2003 with the fundamental aim of helping a range of organisations communicate more effectively without foreign language barriers. Today, Language Connect has a dedicated staff of Account Managers, Project Managers, localisation and technical support specialists, who are complemented by a network of over 5,000 subject specialist translators and editors.
Language Connect has been providing professional language services since 2003. We have developed effective processes enabling our service provision to be considered amongst the highest of industry standards and this is demonstrated by our ISO Quality Management accreditation. Our international offices in London, Munich and Melbourne and use of innovative technologies enable us to offer 24-hour customer service at no extra cost to our clients. In total, Language Connect has over 5,000 registered and approved translators with the combined capability of providing translations in over 140 languages and dialects to deliver accurate, rapid and seamless services for a range of industry sectors.
We recognise that languages evolve over time so it’s imperative that our linguists always translate into the language that they most habitually use wherever they are based in the world.
We most commonly provide large volume translations in all major European languages as these are the most in demand; however we have evaluated and approved specialists in most languages including rare dialects such as Twi and Yoruba which allows us to deliver a comprehensive service to all of our clients.
Over the years, Language Connect has retained over 85% of its clients and has developed many small relationships into long-term, regular clients. Working closely with our clients, we are capable of understanding and responding quickly to their needs to ensure high quality work at very competitive prices.
All of our linguists (translators and proofreaders) are assessed by a procedure aimed at verifying their levels of qualification, skills and experience. Our recruitment process is designed to ensure the fulfilment of our quality objective:

Each translator’s qualifications and experience are assessed against a set of core requirements to ensure that they meet Language Connect’s minimum criteria:
Linguistic ability: perfect command of the target language either of mother tongue standard or equivalent plus thorough knowledge of at least one other language
Qualifications: completion of a full university degree course
Experience: At least 1,000 pages translated (one year's full-time work with one page = 1,500 characters, excluding spaces)
Industry expertise: relevant university-level education and/or professional translation experience (at least 500 pages)

At the beginning of 2010, Plimsoll, the world leader in market reports and company analysis, ranked Language Connect as the most efficient translation company in their report on 'The UK Language Translation Service Industry'. The study analysed over 270 of the top language services agencies in the UK according to trading stability, profitability, growth and working capital.
