A scaled down version of SDL Trados Studio, the Starter edition offers the essential functionality of its elder sibling, at an entry level price point to appeal to the occasional translator. Additionally, the new offering will benefit corporations and Language Service Providers as it provides a lower investment threshold for their translators or reviewers to access the outstanding technology that SDL offers.
SDL Trados Studio Professional and Freelance, editions both provide additional productivity tools to translators and the newly released service pack 2 enables the translator to plug in to multiple automatic translation tools, offering a flexible automated translation platform within the translator’s desktop environment.
