SDL, the leading provider of Global Information Management solutions, announced today that an LSP Partner Advisory Board has been formed to represent the interests of SDL's growing LSP Partner community.
The mission of the SDL LSP Partner Advisory Board is to represent the voice of the LSP Partner community across the different regions, presiding over technical and commercial aspects of the partnership. Its main objective is to ensure LSP Partners receive ongoing value from the SDL LSP Partner program. The newly formed Advisory Board will advise SDL of features the LSP community would like to see in the SDL product roadmap and recommend new areas of collaboration between the LSP community and SDL. The Advisory Board will also have a direct line into SDL management and will provide input on current and future policies.
The kick off meeting took place at SDL’s Corporate Headquarters in Maidenhead, U.K. at the end of April 2010. Some of the agreed actions from the meeting were:
To prioritize technology requirements from the LSP Partner community
To create a community and promote networking amongst LSP Partners
To establish a mechanism for the delivery of high-priority SDL language technology information to partners
Tim Branton, Managing Director of aatranslations said: “SDL technology has always been closely aligned with LSP’s needs but I believe the SDL LSP Partner Advisory Board will result in an even greater influence on the technology . Furthermore, the board members are working closely together to provide LSPs with the tools to increase the value they can offer their businesses through the partnership.”
