Website Search Undergoes Q&A Revolution

SDL Tridion and Q-go partnership provides integrated Natural Language Search solution for seamless customer interaction

SDL Tridion, leader in global Web Content Management (WCM), and part of SDL, leader in Global Information Management (GIM), today announces that it has partnered with Q-go to provide an integrated Natural Language Search engine within SDL Tridion’s web content management platform. The solution revolutionizes the online search environment within websites by providing only targeted and highly relevant search results.

Visitors to websites will no longer have to trawl through numerous results based on keywords alone. Boasting quality over quantity, search results will be far less ambiguous, thus providing a more enjoyable online experience. In turn, businesses will realize improved customer stickiness. Based on the question asked, marketers have an opportunity to push other related information to the website visitor.

Q-go’s Natural Language Search is now accessible from within the SDL Tridion web content management environment. Content editors are able to create model questions in the Q-go component of the SDL Tridion platform. This means that the most common questions pertaining to products and the website itself can be targeted and answered by web content editors, creating streamlined content and vastly increased relevance of searches. The integration also means that only one interface is needed to update the entire website, which can be done anywhere, anytime.

“The integration between SDL Tridion and Q-go has enormous benefits for web content editors, and subsequently web site visitors,” says Jan Jaap Kolleman, CEO at SDL Tridion. “There will be an increase in productivity as editors no longer have multiple processes to go through to update search functions and the website itself. Visitors to their websites will notice an increase in the quality of their experience, as searches will be relevant to the questions they ask, and eliminate ambiguity that other search engines have when searches are performed. This also means that there will be a decrease in helpdesk calls and e-mails as online service level is improved, resulting in significant cost reductions.”

"Organizations that really care about the quality of their online interaction, have traditionally selected the products of SDL Tridion and Q-go to build their website. They were prepared to deal with the implicit complications of two separate systems in order to get the best customer experience’’ says Marcel E. Smit, CEO at Q-go. ‘’The new SDL Tridion – Q-go connector integrates both systems seamlessly. This eliminates manual work for content editors and significantly further improves the quality of the website. We are confident that our ongoing partnership with the market leader SDL Tridion will help organisations to achieve the best customer experience on their web sites"
