Acquisition of ATR Information AB ("ATR")

SDL announces that it has today acquired the entire issued share capital of ATR for a total consideration of £335,000, which is to be satisfied with a cash payment of £175,000 and the issue of 26,650 ordinary shares of 1p each ("Consideration Shares").
ATR is a full service vendor incorporating engineering, project management, testing and translation services for the Nordic market, counting companies such as IBM, Lotus and Phillips amongst its client list.
Application has been made for the Consideration Shares to be admitted to the Official List of the London Stock Exchange and dealings are expected to commence on Monday 28 February 2000.
