Working with the Tamsary Foundation

€10,000 of funding helped the Tamsary Foundation rebuild an old wooden bridge used by 1,200 Nepalese villagers every day.

Building new facilities to improve everyday life in Nepal

The Tamsary Foundation organises and funds projects in Nepal, especially aimed at education, health care, and well-being. This project for the rebuilding of an old derelict bridge will keep the connection open between 54 villages.  The old bridge, made of wood (horizontally placed poles with wooden planks on top of it) was used by around 1,200 people every day.

The new bridge brings safety and a long-lasting legacy to the surrounding villages

The bridge was near to collapse and presented a hazard to all the villagers who used it. The SDL Foundation was able to contribute €10,000 to the Tamsary Foundation project to rebuild the bridge with stronger and more long-lasting materials.
