Translators - Connect to the Cloud!

In both technology and business, cloud is a hot topic. At SDL, things are no different and we are expanding cloud offerings to support a more dynamic, versatile translation environment.

As part of the release of SDL Trados Studio 2011 SP1, translators can now take advantage of SDL BeGlobal – the industry’s first cloud platform for trusted, automated translation – with a free SDL BeGlobal Community account.

SDL BeGlobal is SDL’s automated/machine translation platform, launched in 2010, designed to enable businesses to communicate with customers across more languages and channels. (Particularly those channels that are real-time and change frequently.) It is a powerful, web application that enables any business user to become a multilingual publisher and communicator. SDL BeGlobal can also be leveraged within the translation process to increase the productivity of translators. With a free SDL BeGlobal Community account, all users of SDL Trados Studio 2011 SP1 can access their own free automated translation account so they can utilize trusted automated translation within a familiar translation tool to increase productivity.

Get your account and connect to the cloud!

You will need to upgrade to SDL Trados Studio 2011 SP1 to access your own SDL BeGlobal account, but once that is complete, you can get your account information through the registration process, or at anytime within SDL Trados Studio 2011 SP1 itself.
