WorldServer 2011 10.2 Has Arrived

While summer is in full swing, that hasn't slowed down the SDL WorldServer product team from marching forward with a new service pack update. Today SDL announced the availability of SDL WorldServer 2011 10.2, delivering a number of enhancements including new features to improve the translation and review process when working with Microsoft Word documents, more options for terminology management and greater browser choice.

A focal point of this update is an improved combined solution with SDL Trados Studio 2011 when working with organisations that demand a high degree of traceability throughout the entire translation process. Features like the ability to work with documents that have tracked changes in the source, automated conversion between Microsoft Word .doc and .docx versions, and a simpler way to export and review Word documents in a bilingual format.

WorldServer 2011 10.2 also brings:

  • Integration with SDL MultiTerm Server, allowing WorldServer customers to leverage MultiTerm termbases and have more options when sending terminology to translators
  • An option to penalize TM matches when attributes do not match for SDL Trados Studio filters
  • A new capability to import SDLXLIFF or TTX files into translation memories, allowing users to build TMs from more bilingual content
  • Support for Internet Explorer 9 and Mozilla Firefox 10
