Bringing Big Data to the Enterprise

Ever overwhelmed by the amount of information available at your fingertips or that you have to read and manage on a daily basis? If so, it should be no surprise that last year, 1.8 trillion gigabytes of information was created and replicated, with enterprises touching 80% of information at some point in its digital life.*

This year, that number increased--IBM found that 2.5 quintillion (2.5×1018) bytes of data were created every day. There is tremendous opportunity for companies to leverage that data to improve collaboration, communication and customer experience.

Data trends

According to a recent article published by Martin Hilbert and Priscila López, the world's technological per-capita capacity to store information has roughly doubled every 40 months since the 1980’s.

On June 21, Sue Feldman, Research Vice President at IDC and Daniel Marcu, Chief Scientific Officer at SDL will discuss enterprise data trends, what companies are doing with that information and the impact of language.

Expected learning outcome is the latest trends in data and the impact of language, how Big Data drives opportunities for translation and popular use cases for translation vast amounts of information. It’s a can’t miss event!
