MAIDENHEAD, 9 February 2004 - SDL International (LSE: 'SDL'), the world's leading provider of multilingual service and software solutions, today announced the appointment of Terry Lawlor as vice president of worldwide marketing. Lawlor will be responsible for marketing strategy and execution worldwide. He brings to SDL extensive experience in enterprise marketing of software and service solutions.

Prior to SDL, Lawlor was EMEA marketing director at SupportSoft, a support automation and knowledge management company, where he was responsible for significant growth in EMEA business. He also managed worldwide e-marketing initiatives and had business development responsibility with strategic partners in EMEA. Previously, as marketing director at database software company Informix Software, Lawlor successfully opened up new markets in content management and e-commerce. He is a graduate of Durham University in the UK and has held senior management positions in marketing, sales, customer services and R&D.
