SDL plc ("SDL"), the world’s leading provider of multilingual solutions offering scalable translation technology and services, has announced the opening of a new office in Oslo, Norway. The new location will offer Norwegian services for local customers and support for other SDL Divisions.
SDL already delivers Norwegian localization for a large number of customers, such as Adobe, Hewlett Packard, Kodak, Macromedia, Microsoft, Real Networks, Sony Ericsson, Sun Microsystems and Volvo.
The new office, located opposite the Oslo Stock Exchange, will allow SDL to integrate management processes still further, delivering optimum quality on multilingual projects.
With a complete range of language services available, SDL Norway will also be able to expand business with customers such as Statoil and Norsk Hydro in the Oil and Gas market and Det Norske Veritas in the global Maritime industry.
“Scandinavia is a major market for SDL, so we are delighted to be able to invest in this new office, as a sign of our confidence in the translation market there”, confirmed Lena Williams, General Manager, Sweden, which was recently selected for a special Merit award in Lotus Software’s “Translation Supplier of the Year – 2002”.
