William Hill, a leading Betting company and Bookmaker, has announced a contract to install SDL's leading multilingual content management system for international intranets and websites - SDLWorkFlow - as well as for SDL's comprehensive translation support for their sports betting website.
The William Hill website needs content which is fully localised across five different languages, including the details of World Cup competitors. Delivered in time for the World Cup competition in Korea and Japan later this year, SDL's multilingual solution will ensure that the William Hill website is fully translated and available to foreign-language visitors as quickly and seamlessly as possible.
William Hill chose SDL International's solution of combined software product and service technologies because it complemented the www.williamhill.co.uk infrastructure and requirement for timely language updates. The William Hill site will synchronise their multilingual live betting website with updates of the World Cup matches.
Julian Graham-Rack, Head of Business Development, E-Commerce explained: "We needed a reliable provider of translation services, who also had the technology to deliver our multilingual content management requirements. SDL has a clear capability in both these aspects and seemed the obvious choice to meet our requirements."
"We are delighted that William Hill, one of the world leaders in their field, has chosen us for such a critical project," said Hedley Rees-Evans, Group Marketing Director at SDL. "The World Cup is a very prestigious event, attracting a truly global audience, and the provision of high-quality, dynamic, localised content is obviously a critical aspect of such global websites."
